The Hidden Cost of a Lake Weekend
Anyone who's towed a boat to the lake knows the math doesn't stop at gas and bait. There are day passes, parking, and — if you want to leave the boat overnight — storage or slip fees on top of everything else. Lake Murray State Park runs on a per-vehicle daily parking pass system, and those little charges have a way of adding up over a long weekend.
Park It Here — No Extra Fee

At Somewhere In Love, your boat stays with you. We have room on the property for your trailer, and there is no extra fee to park it. Pull in, unhitch, and your rig is right outside your cabin door instead of in a lot somewhere across the lake.
That means:
- No paying twice — your nightly rate covers your spot and your boat's spot.
- Easy early mornings — the closest boat launch is just 1.4 miles away, and the marina is about 6 miles out. Hitch up at sunrise and you're on the water in minutes.
- Peace of mind — keep an eye on your gear overnight instead of wondering about it.
- Room for the whole setup — bringing jet skis or a fishing boat? Let us know when you book and we'll make sure you're set.
Then Come Back to a Real Cabin

After a day on the water, skip the tent and the cramped camper. Both of our cabins, The Landing and Frigg's, are fully furnished with a full-size bed, a futon that folds out to a super twin, a kitchenette with an induction cooktop, air fryer, microwave, and ice maker, plus mini-split A/C and heat. Bedding, towels, and toiletries are covered. Outside, there's a fire pit, a propane grill, a picnic area, and a shared gazebo — perfect for cleaning the day's catch and telling the fish stories that go with it.
Stays start at $100 a night with a two-night minimum, and pets are welcome (up to two, with a small non-refundable pet fee).
Might As Well Stay With Us
If you're paying to park your boat at the lake anyway, you might as well put that money toward a comfortable cabin with the parking included. Check availability and tell us what you're towing — we'll save you a spot.
